Tasting Notes
짙은 호박빛이 잔 안에서 묵직하게 빛난다. 아일라 남부의 라프로익이 세컨드필 올로로소와 아메리칸 오크에서 25년을 보낸 캐스크 스트렝스다. 코에는 요오드와 타르, 바닷가의 짠 연기가 먼저 밀려오고 그 아래로 셰리가 남긴 마른 과일이 비친다. 51.2도의 입질에서는 훈제 향과 검은 후추, 졸인 자두의 단맛이 진하게 얽힌다. 사반세기의 시간이 거친 피트를 둥글게 다듬어 끝에서 약품 향과 소금기가 오래도록 맴돈다.

this is rather strange. Curiously herbal and vegetal (beans, cabbage), very farmy, with whiffs of wet animals (dogs, sheep – sorry both) and then big, bold notes of antiseptic, bandages and embrocations. The most medicinal Laphroaigs I ever nosed. With water: really toned down but even earthier (old pu-erh tea). Touches of ink, old papers and mud
restaurant Palate
rawer than expected from a 25yo, almost as rooty and earthy as the 10 but also more medicinal again. Cough medicine, heavy liquorice lozenges and lime. Aloe vera juice. With water: it got cardboardy and dry, water works much worse than with the 10, which is a little strange. Muddy waters!
timer Finish
long, rather bitter, herbal and a little acrid. A little grapefruit in the aftertaste
