Tasting Notes
아일라 남부 해안의 라프로익은 짙은 이탄과 요오드 같은 바다 내음을 끝까지 관통시킨다. 세컨드필 올로로소 셰리와 아메리칸 오크에서 25년을 보낸 캐스크 스트렝스로, 잔에는 깊은 금빛이 어린다. 향은 약재와 소독약, 붕대와 흙내 나는 야성적 뉘앙스가 강하게 열린다. 50.9도의 도수가 입안을 채우며 뿌리와 흙, 감초와 라임, 기침약 같은 약초의 쌉쌀함이 흐른다. 여운은 길고 쌉쌀하게 이어져 허브와 자몽의 씁쓸함이 오래 남는다.

this is rather strange. Curiously herbal and vegetal (beans, cabbage), very farmy, with whiffs of wet animals (dogs, sheep – sorry both) and then big, bold notes of antiseptic, bandages and embrocations. The most medicinal Laphroaigs I ever nosed. With water: really toned down but even earthier (old pu-erh tea). Touches of ink, old papers and mud
restaurant Palate
rawer than expected from a 25yo, almost as rooty and earthy as the 10 but also more medicinal again. Cough medicine, heavy liquorice lozenges and lime. Aloe vera juice. With water: it got cardboardy and dry, water works much worse than with the 10, which is a little strange. Muddy waters!
timer Finish
long, rather bitter, herbal and a little acrid. A little grapefruit in the aftertaste
