라프로익 1989가 잔에 옅은 황금빛으로 일렁이지만 그 안에 담긴 기운은 결코 가볍지 않다. 향에서는 요오드와 소독약, 바닷가 모닥불의 짙은 연기가 먼저 코를 사로잡는다. 17년의 숙성은 거친 피트를 다듬어, 짭조름한 소금기와 훈제 생선, 바닐라의 단맛이 입안에서 팽팽하게 맞선다. 페시 일레 한정 보틀링다운 야성이 타르 같은 스모크로 길고 묵직하게 남는다.

Perfectly elegant and balanced with these wispy curls of pure peat smoke. With water: perfect! The wood sweetness steps back and we’re again getting this beautiful balance of fragrant, smoked teas, peat embers and pithy citrus peels
