노즈는 뿌리채소와 젠티안, 아티초크 같은 이례적인 흙내음으로 열려 강한 개성을 드러낸다. PX 셰리 피니시를 거친 라프로익 1988답게 30년의 원숙함이 명확하게 배어 있다. 팰럿은 46.3도에서 시트러스와 말린 과실, 무화과에 캄포르와 옛날식 기침약, 피트가 더해진다. 소나무와 미드, 전나무 꿀 같은 뉘앙스가 더해져 복합적인 구조감을 이룬다. 피니시는 길지 않지만 가마의 열기와 약재 같은 뉘앙스가 여운으로 남는다.
