버팔로 트레이스 2001 익스페리멘탈 위트 125는 밀 함량을 높인 실험적 12년 버번으로, 45도다. 노즈에서는 꿀과 바닐라, 메이플 시럽에 따뜻한 톱밥 향이 가장 먼저 두드러진다. 입에서는 캐러멜의 단맛 뒤로 오크가 강하게 나서며 다소 거칠고 바니시 같은 우디함이 또렷하게 발전한다. 실험적 매시빌이 준 개성은 뚜렷하나 오크의 무게가 큰 편이고, 여운은 드라이한 오크로 길게 이어진다.
