잔을 흔들어 향을 모으면 그을린 화이트 오크의 탄 냄새가 먼저 코에 닿는다. 이어 캐러멜과 구운 견과가 올라오고 잔을 다시 돌리면 말린 자두가 뒤따른다. 한 모금 머금어 혀 위에 두면 흑설탕 같은 단맛과 후추가 나란히 퍼진다. 잔을 비운 뒤에도 유리에 남은 향은 여전히 달다. 삼킨 다음에는 2002년 빈티지다운 마른 오크 향이 목 안쪽에 얇게 걸려 천천히 식는다.
