잔을 흔든 뒤 잠시 기다렸다가 코를 대면 이 위스키는 처음보다 훨씬 달게 열린다. 메이플과 버터스카치가 앞서고 그 아래로 검은 후추와 마른 허브가 깔린다. 잔을 코앞에 오래 두면 구운 옥수수 향이 뒤늦게 올라온다. 한 모금 삼키면 켄터키 버번다운 기름진 단맛이 입안을 채우고 47도의 열이 뒤늦게 올라온다. 마무리에서는 그을린 참나무의 향이 목에 얇게 걸린다.
