air Nose
no lavenderish notes yet in this Bowmore, but it's already lost the 1960s and early 1970s' magnificent fruitiness (passion fruits and mangos better than passion fruits and mangos). In fact, it's very mineral and austere, with a medium peatiness. A little sea air as well, grass, touches of soap… I wouldn't say there's much happening here
restaurant Palate
rather more interesting than on the nose. Raw peat and dried apples, sugar cane, oils (sunflower) and growing lemon notes. Now we're talking, because the lemon brought the riesling, touches of sage, celeriac, something rooty ineed… Very good!
timer Finish
medium long, with a greasy and very sweet vanilla on top of the 'riesling notes'
