it seems that it’s one of these Bowmores that still had a few violety notes but that’s in no way a problem here, it’s almost an asset in fact. Those notes go very well with the very briny character, as well as with the deep earthy and mushroomy profile. Also touches of camphor, kippers and herbal tea (lime-blossom), gentian spirit and… violets again. Nope, no lavender. With water: superb. A farmer by the sea, or a fisherman in a farm. Whatever
