검붉은 기가 도는 갈색이 잔 깊은 곳에 머문다. 1989년에 증류돼 23년이라는 긴 시간을 새 오크통에서 견딘 이 싱글 배럴은 향부터 나무의 무게가 뚜렷하다. 낡은 가죽과 흑설탕, 볶은 커피가 차례로 열리고 입에서는 다크초콜릿과 마른 자두가 진하게 흐른다. 여운은 오크 탄닌과 후추로 좁혀지며 꽤 오래 남는다. 45도라는 도수에도 술의 결이 성글어지는 구석이 없다.
