Tasting Notes
노즈에서는 부싯돌 같은 미네랄과 가죽, 오렌지 마멀레이드의 향이 가장 먼저 두드러진다. 보모어 15년은 퍼스트필 버번 캐스크에서 15년을 보낸 뒤 43도로 병입된 아일라 몰트다. 팰럿은 처음엔 크리미하다가 절제된 피트와 가죽, 구운 빵의 결이 발전한다. 소금기와 쌉쌀한 오렌지, 감초, 타르가 뒤따르며 구조를 채운다. 낮은 편의 도수에도 피트와 셰리의 흔적이 또렷하게 맞물린다. 균형은 단단하고 스모크가 중심을 잡아 준다. 피니시는 길고 타르 같은 스모크와 진한 홍차가 마지막까지 남는다.

typical flinty and leathery peat/sherry combo. Orange marmalade in the background. Gets then a tad acidic and curiously winey, with an unexpected rancio and even some vinegar. That’s strange, other recent batches have been much cleaner (2007, 2009)

creamy, smooth at first, with a moderate peatiness but a lot of leather and toasts coming out soon after that. Quite some salt as well, bitter oranges, old walnuts, strong liquorice, tar…

long, bold, very tarry. Strong black tea, heavy pudding…
