Tasting Notes
아일라 북동부 인달 만 너머 부나하벤의 차분한 해안 풍토가 1978년 40년에 깃든다. 리필 셰리 버트 40년의 잔에는 깊은 호박빛이 잠겨 있다. 향은 잘 익은 자두와 호두, 옅은 가죽, 시트러스 마멀레이드, 바닷내음이 켜켜이 올라온다. 부나하벤 특유의 가벼운 짠맛이 받친다. 입에는 47.8%의 안정된 도수가 부드러운 질감과 함께 흐르며 셰리의 단맛과 흑설탕, 정향이 발전한다. 40년 숙성의 폴리시드 토대 위에서 여운은 솔트와 무화과가 길게 이어진다.

a wealth of fresh breads, damp earth and various tobaccos, unlit cigars, sultanas and black coffee. Goes on with some crushed walnuts, banana bread, black olives and figs in syrup. The sherry leans elegantly to the dry side and on the whole feels nicely nervous and taut
restaurant Palate
great delivery, richly bready, lots of fresh brown bread, fruit scones, strawberry jam, black pepper, beef stock, dark soy sauce, walnut oil, herbal extracts and spiced plum chutney. Very punchy and surprisingly fresh. There’s a big, earthy, resinous sherry but no overtly drying tannins or sense of over-ageing.
