Tasting Notes
오래 묵은 마호가니빛이 잔 속에 깊고 그윽하게 어린다. 아일라의 부나하벤이 셰리 캐스크에서 무려 35년을 보낸 귀한 보틀링으로, 같은 섬의 다른 위스키와 달리 피트를 거의 쓰지 않는다. 말린 무화과와 호두, 오렌지 껍질의 향이 우아하게 피어오른다. 47.1도의 도수는 오랜 시간 속에 더없이 둥글어졌고, 셰리의 깊은 단맛과 옅은 짠 내음이 어우러진다. 가죽과 향신료의 여운이 길고 기품 있게 남는다.

air Nose
a blend of beeswax and plasticine at first, furniture polish, then meaty cigars, Grisons meat, leather, and the expected old walnuts. It’s a traditional dry sherried Bunnahabhain, quite earthy as well. Whiffs of late-season quinces and medlars
restaurant Palate
starts a bit brutal and dirtily earthy (which is not that bad), develops with more leather and tobacco (and the usual walnuts), and tends to become bitter-chocolate dry, although a few touches of oranges make it a tad lighter. It’s also rather very peppery
timer Finish
rather long, grassier, but also with more fruits. Perhaps those quinces?
