버번 캐스크에서 16년을 보낸 시간이 이탄을 뜻하는 이름 그대로 부나하벤 모네에 훈연을 더한다. 활발한 미국산 오크가 남긴 바닐라와 퍼지, 버터스카치, 화이트 초콜릿의 단맛이 깨끗한 원액 위에 겹쳐진다. 55.4도의 도수 위로 상큼한 레몬과 바닐라를 두른 짭짤한 피트가 선명하게 입을 채운다. 창고에서 직접 병입한 이 보틀은 깔끔하고 짭짤한 레몬 피트의 여운을 길게 남긴다.

right-o, it’s the 1997, only with much more vanilla, fudge, butterscotch and white chocolate. The cask was much more active, obviously, or it’s even seen some newish US oak pretty recently. I think this works extremely well, because you’ve got both the cleanliness and the sexier vanilla. With water: the spirit wins, the vanilla’s been brought down, hurray! I even find wee hints of freshly cooked langoustines. Not kidding

impeccable zesty sharpy lemony sweet vanilla-ed peatiness. Not much to add, this is perfect, just a little, cough, cough, strong (S., you sissy!) With water: hi-def peater. Simple yet total pleasures
