very fresh but a little spirity, coffeeish, very close to new make. Little cask influence. Gets mashy, with some porridge and cornflakes, some fruity notes (apples, green peaches) and something vegetal (French beans, celeriac). Not very aromatic, to say the least. Just some added notes of mushroom and humus after a good five minutes

oh, this is funny, it’s almost like a pear eau de vie! I mean, really! Not sure I’d have said it’s whisky, had I tasted it blind. Some caramel too, maybe a little ginger and that’s it. The finish is rather short and on… pear, you guessed it. Just a bit of salted liquorice, getting a little grassy. Really funny! 79 points for this pear spir… I mean, Bruichladdich. Bruichladdich 14 yo 1990/2005 (50%, Douglas Laing Old Malt Cask, 348 bottles)
