노즈에서는 1965년 빈티지 브룩라디 특유의 잘 익은 사과와 꿀, 옅은 해풍 향이 가장 먼저 두드러진다. 무피트 아일라 몰트를 15년 숙성한 옛 보틀링답게 마른 풀과 시트러스, 왁스 뉘앙스가 천천히 발전한다. 팰럿은 43도의 절제된 도수 위로 맥아 단맛과 흰 후추, 짭조름한 미네랄이 또렷하게 드러나며 섬세한 구조감을 유지한다. 피니시는 마른 오크와 소금기로 중간 길이로 이어지고, 반세기 전 아일라 몰트다운 단정한 균형이 인상에 남는다.

we are undeniably in cognac territory. Abundant raisins, hints of copper coins, peaches cooked in wine, pears poached in vanilla, crème brûlée, prunes, brown sugar, subtle hints of Nescafé… Only the very light meaty and salty note in the background sets it apart. How amusing!
