Tasting Notes
아일라의 브룩라디가 남긴 1964년 문 임포트, 진한 금빛이 반세기를 훌쩍 넘긴 귀한 원액을 잔에 담는다. 열일곱 해의 향은 오렌지와 갓 깐 헤이즐넛, 복숭아의 맑은 결을 곱게 포갠다. 잔을 기울이면 그 위로 아카시아꿀의 달큰함이 배어 나온다. 43도의 둥글고 크리미한 질감이 입안을 감싸며 살구잼과 마지팬, 밀크 초콜릿의 단맛을 전한다. 반세기 전 증류된 스피릿답게 깨끗하고 자연스럽다. 시간이 다듬은 부드러움이 잔 속에 조용히 깃든다. 오크의 옅은 쌉쌀함과 커피의 여운이 짧지만 정갈하게 남는다.

typical Bruichladdich, not far from the first ‘un-ACED’ 10 and 15yo. Starts on notes of orange squash and fresh hazelnuts, then we have notes of peaches and clay and gooseberries and finally a little brine, fresh almonds, faint hints of rubber and touches of honey. Baklavas. Maybe not a lot of character but it’s clean and enjoyable ‘natural’ malt whisky
restaurant Palate
this is rounder and creamier than expected at first sipping, more on apricot jam and light honey (acacia). More cereally as well (cornflakes). Notes of marzipan and milk chocolate and finally a slight bitterness from the oak (tannins). Medium bodied
timer Finish
not too long shortish actually, a tad maltier, with notes of coffee
