Tasting Notes
아일라 서쪽 로크 인달을 마주한 브룩라디가 보르도 오브리옹 와인 캐스크로 마무리한 16년, 더 식스틴스 시리즈다. 46도로 병입한 이 위스키는 잔에 짙은 적갈빛을 띤다. 토탄을 쓰지 않는 증류소답게 매캐함 대신 레드 와인이 준 프룬과 초콜릿, 잘 익은 자두의 향이 깊게 오른다. 입에서는 다크 초콜릿에 감싼 말린 과일과 와인 소스, 커피의 풍미가 두꺼운 질감으로 흐른다. 여운은 짙고 무거우면서도 매끄럽게 길게 이어진다.

full classic deep oloroso, in that sense very different from all former three. Chocolate, wine sauce, prunes, fresh parsley and lovage, coffee-schnapps (like when you just poured a few drops –right, spoonfuls- of Mirabellenbrand into your espresso – our German speaking friends will see what I mean – psst, we make the best ones in Elsass). This seems to be thick, let’s see what gives on the palate
restaurant Palate
it’s rather hard to imagine a thicker and darker whisky but most funnily, it’s not exempt of a certain ‘playfulness’. But frankly, not even chocolate-coated dried fruits taste as much as chocolate-coated dried fruits as this Glenfarclas. You’ll almost need a (silver)spoon!
