Tasting Notes
짙은 앰버가 잔 벽을 느리게 타고 내린다. 향에서는 거의 와인에 가까운 셰리가 앞장서며 커피와 다크 초콜릿, 럼, 쓴 오렌지가 층층이 쌓이고 볶은 땅콩과 졸인 고기 소스 같은 육향이 뒤따른다. 59.9도의 입은 크림 같으면서도 사납게 밀고 들어와 올로로소의 짙은 단맛과 시큼한 결을 동시에 드러낸다. 2001년 클라이즈데일 오리지널이 병입한 이 매캘란은 셰리를 사랑하는 이를 위한 잔이다. 여운은 길고 건조하게 마른다.

starts with some very bold but rather balanced sherry – almost vinous – with lots of coffee, dark chocolate and rum, as well as bitter oranges, Corinthian raisins and roasted peanuts. Some meaty notes as well, game, caramelized meat sauce… It’s nice
restaurant Palate
creamy, powerful, almost too aggressive, with an overwhelming, dominating oloroso and some sourish notes that are slightly excessive for my tastes. Lots of chocolate, dark rum, simple cognac… One has to really love sherry to enjoy this Macallan. The finish is long but rather drying – for sherry monsters freaks only. 83 points .
