잔을 돌리고 코를 가져가면 뜻밖의 연기와 아카시아 꿀이 동시에 밀려온다. 이어 라일락과 밀랍, 가죽 광택제의 향이 층을 이루고 잘 익은 살구와 오렌지 시럽이 그 위에 얹힌다. 한 모금을 머금으면 살구잼과 익은 자두가 활기차게 퍼지고 밤꿀의 진한 단맛이 뒤를 받친다. 구운 브리오슈와 고급 후추도 스친다. 삼키면 바닷바람 같은 짠기와 꿀의 단맛이 오래 겹쳐 남는다. 1964년 빈티지를 크리스털 디캔터에 담은 보틀링이다.

air Nose
oh well... this is, I mean, just amazing. Incredible smokiness and a full tanker of acacia honey as well as lilac, beeswax and leather polish. Goes on and on... ripe apricots, flower nectar, Seville oranges, orange syrup, whiffs of seawater... Absolutely exceptional. Gets smokier with time (Havana smoke). Hints of apple peelings. This nose just leaves me speechless (who said good news?)

amazingly lively, nervous, fruity... Apricot jam, ripe plums, chestnut honey, toasted brioche, high-grade pepper... Totally fantabulous. I’m afraid the rest will be censored by our anti-maltoporn police department
