Tasting Notes
노즈는 매캘런치고 풀 향이 강하게 두드러지는 편이다. 사과 껍질과 호두 속껍질, 파라핀 같은 뉘앙스가 이어지고 금속 광택제와 젖은 점토가 배경에 깔린다. 43도의 팰럿은 양초 왁스와 감귤의 산미가 앞서며 향에서 예상한 만큼의 과실 단맛은 크지 않다. 호그스헤드에서 11년을 보낸 이 위스키는 캐스크 개입이 적어 원액의 성격이 그대로 드러난다. 피니시는 중간 길이로 쌉쌀한 잎사귀의 여운이 남는다.

rather big but unusually grassy for The Macallan, with a combination of apple peeling, walnut skin and plain paraffin. Metal polish, sour apples, wet clay. Not very aromatic to say the least and far from the good 12 or even 10 that were also available at the time

very bizarre. It’s not that it’s unpleasant but some notes of candle wax – not too nice on the palate – plus something such as rotting oranges just don’t work. Varnish
