Tasting Notes
호박빛이 잔 안에 곱게 어린다. 향은 옛 오피셜 보틀을 떠올리게 할 만큼 풍성해서 통조림 파인애플과 망고, 건포도, 무화과 리큐어가 겹겹이 열리고 시가와 백단향이 뒤를 받친다. 입에서는 43도가 순하게 풀리며 셰리의 단맛과 잼, 마멀레이드가 어긋남 없이 맞물린다. 1980년에 증류해 1995년에 담긴 열네 해의 시간은 나이보다 훨씬 완숙한 얼굴을 만들었다. 여운은 살짝 힘이 빠지며 차와 옅은 연기를 남긴다.

hold on, wasn’t this an OB? It’s very ‘older OB’ indeed, that is to say with a rather magnificent paxa… err, sherry that used to translate into tinned pineapples, mangos, blond tobacco, sultanas, fig liqueur, honey, cigars, sandalwood, heather honey… This nose is wonderful, complex, delicate and assertive at the same time. I even find whiffs of ‘good’ Italian tomato sauce, the ones that are kind of fruity. Matriciana?

and yes yes yes! Full Macallanness, sherry, raisins, jams, touches of Turkish delights, marmalade, all that in perfect sync. There’s even this tiny touch of sulphur that goes so well with this style
timer Finish
the only weaker part, it tends to lose focus, just a bit, and to become a little tea-ish. But remember, only 43% vol. A wee smokiness in the aftertaste
