Tasting Notes
잔을 흔들어 향을 열면 셰리 우드에서 나온 술치고는 단맛이 앞서지 않고 초 왁스와 아몬드 페이스트, 파라핀 향이 먼저 다가온다. 코를 더 가까이 하면 약재 같은 서늘한 기운과 분필 냄새가 뒤섞인다. 한 모금을 머금으면 45도의 질감이 기름지게 혀를 덮고 고무와 잉크 같은 이질적인 맛이 스친다. 1989년 증류된 이 보틀링은 삼킨 뒤 풀내와 왁스의 씁쓸함을 길게 붙든다.

absolutely not a sherry monster, rather the opposite, hence slightly un-Samaroli as far as Speysiders are concerned. I’m rather finding some candle wax, almond paste, paraffin, and this unusual medicinal side (unusual in Macallan, that is). A little absinth, perhaps? Also a chalkiness. A strange-ish Macallan
