Tasting Notes
잔을 기울여 흔들면 30년을 보낸 술이 황금빛에 가까운 호박색을 잔 벽에 남긴다. 코끝으로 가져가면 맥캘란 특유의 잘 익은 사과와 바닐라, 옅은 오크 향이 차례로 올라온다. 한 모금을 머금으면 43.3도의 부드러운 술이 혀 위에서 꿀과 보리 단맛으로 번지고 은근한 향신료가 뒤를 따른다. 천천히 삼킨 뒤에는 오랜 숙성이 남긴 마른 오크와 캐러멜의 잔향이 입안에 길게 머문다.

quite sugarish, with quite a lot of tannins. Hints of white fruits. A little thin, but rather good, although nowhere near the now old 18yo. 80 points . Too bad I couldn’t taste the new 18 yo ‘sherry’ (picture above). Macallan 30 yo (43%, OB, circa 1998) I didn't have this one at WhiskyLive, but at ‘Le Market’, fellow Alsatian Jean-Georges Vongerichten ’s new ‘fusion food’ restaurant on Avenue Matignon
