잔을 흔들어 옅은 골드빛을 확인하고 코를 가져가면 뮤즐리와 단 빵, 맥아의 곡물 향이 앞서 나와 셰리 캐스크 숙성이라는 정보가 잠시 낯설게 느껴진다. 뒤로 바닐라와 녹차, 옅은 유칼립투스가 스친다. 한 모금을 머금으면 부담 없이 술술 넘어가며 생맥아와 새콤한 과일, 생강과 계피가 지나간다. 1991년 원액을 14년 채운 이 위스키는 삼킨 뒤 신선한 오크를 중간 길이로 남긴다.

very muesli-y for Macallan, sweet-beerish, and totally not in the ‘old style’. Porridge, sweet bread, malt, then a lot of vanilla. I almost wrote vanillin. Then touches of green tea, and perhaps just a hint of eucalyptus
