잔을 흔들면 옅은 골드빛이 얇게 번지고 코를 가져가면 제비꽃과 감초의 산뜻한 향이 먼저 인사한다. 뒤이어 꿀과 토피, 옅은 연기가 스치듯 지나간다. 한 모금을 머금으면 몸집이 제법 단단해 구운 견과와 케이크의 달콤함이 혀 가운데를 채우고 살짝 그을린 셰리 뉘앙스가 겹친다. 버번 캐스크에서 21년을 보낸 1989년 원액은 삼킨 뒤 토피와 데메라라 설탕을 중간 길이로 남긴다.

rather fresh an slightly violety and liquoricy, which is quite typical of some Macallans in my opinion. Also whiffs of smoke, honey and toffee and then a faint meatiness. Refill sherry?
