Tasting Notes
잔을 흔들면 아주 옅은 볏짚빛이 가볍게 번진다. 코를 가져가면 배 증류주와 제빵 효모, 갓 벤 풀의 향이 먼저 밀려오고 옅은 나무 연기와 민트가 뒤따른다. 한 모금을 머금으면 예상보다 건조하게 시작해 몰트의 곡물 맛이 도드라지고 감초의 쌉쌀함이 자리를 넓힌다. 이어서 배와 잘 익은 사과가 다시 올라온다. 삼킨 뒤에도 같은 결의 과일과 곡물이 43도치고 꽤 길게 남아 셰리를 입히지 않은 젊은 원액의 민낯을 보여준다.

all on pear spirit, baker’s yeast, newly cut grass and porridge, with also a little wood smoke and whiffs of fresh mint and liquorice. Uncomplicated but exactly what you’d expect from a very young un-sherried Macallan. Less nutty/malty than the young Fine Oaks, for instance

drier than expected, and bigger as well, with more maltiness and less porridge. Good liquorice and then we’re back on pears and ripe apples
