Tasting Notes
잔에는 깊고 짙은 마호가니 빛이 묵직하게 머문다. 매캘런에서 1945년 종전 직후 빚어 33년을 셰리 캐스크에서 보내고 고든 앤 맥페일이 어 퓨어 하이랜드 몰트로 병입한 역사적 빈티지다. 향에는 마른 무화과, 가죽, 오래된 책장, 옅은 시가 잎의 노트가 깊게 머문다. 43도의 절제된 도수가 입안에서 짙은 건과일, 다크 초콜릿, 호두의 단단한 풍미로 흐른다. 여운은 시가 잎과 마른 향신료로 길게 머문다.

much more ‘chiselled’ than the Speymalt, sharper, purer and cleaner. Less yeasty/porridgy and much more almondy, minty and a little mineral (wet chalk)

very close to the Speymalt as far as the general profile is concerned but a little cleaner, sharper and, again, purer. Hints of what tastes like peat but it can’t be peat, can it? Gets bigger over time. Muesli, blueberries
timer Finish
long, with quite some liquorice again and hints of gentian
