연한 금빛이 잔 안에서 가볍게 흔들린다. 향은 부드러운 사이더와 맥주의 곡물 내음으로 열리고 그 위에 바닐라와 갓 구운 페이스트리의 온기가 얹힌다. 40도의 술은 입안에서 나무의 결을 앞세워 생강 케이크와 톱밥, 옥수수빵의 건조한 단맛을 보여주고 그 뒤편에서 잘 익은 사과와 미라벨, 살구의 과실감이 따라온다. 크리스털 디캔터에 담긴 이 매캘런의 여운은 계피의 온기로 중간만큼 이어진다.
