진한 금빛이 잔 안쪽에 부드럽게 내려앉는다. 유러피언 오크에서 자란 1993년 원액이 올로로소 셰리 호그스헤드에서 마무리되며 초콜릿의 향을 통째로 얻었다. 코끝에는 뜨거운 코코아와 사과주스의 대비가 또렷하고 40.8도라는 낮은 도수에도 입안은 벌꿀주와 건포도, 향신료 케이크와 모과 젤리로 촘촘하게 찬다. 골드핀치가 병입한 이 매캘런의 여운은 프랄린처럼 달고 진하게 남는다.
