Tasting Notes
스페이사이드 크레이겔라키 언덕에 자리한 매캘란은 진한 셰리 숙성의 대명사로 통한다. 퍼스트 캐스크가 셰리 캐스크에서 담은 1965년 빈티지는 29년을 거쳐 잔에 깊은 마호가니빛을 드리운다. 코에는 건포도와 오렌지 껍질, 다크초콜릿 향이 또렷하게 올라온다. 46도의 입에서는 셰리의 진한 단맛과 가죽, 향신료가 풀바디로 흐른다. 옛 시절의 셰리 풍미가 묵직하고 긴 여운으로 남는다.

restaurant Palate
more honeyed than honey and waxier than wax. Superb notes of beeswax, golden raisins, quince jelly, mirabelle pie, then black tobacco, chocolate ganache, prunes… It does taste like some fine old armagnac at times. Strength is perfect, body’s perfect
timer Finish
long, a little more marmalade-y, with a smokiness that we could find in many older Macallans
