Tasting Notes
노즈에서는 젖은 자갈과 타르, 그을음 같은 건조한 페놀 계열이 가장 먼저 두드러진다. 민트 리큐어와 쓴 오렌지가 뒤따르며 에스프레소 톤으로 발전한다. 팰럿은 말린 과일과 허브, 가죽과 구두약이 겹치고 담뱃잎이 구조를 잡아준다. 피니시는 길고 건조하며 후추의 자극이 또렷하게 남는다. 던컨 테일러가 1989년 증류해 2004년에 46도로 병입한 14년 숙성으로, 셰리 의존도가 낮아 매캘란 원액의 골격이 그대로 드러난다.

oh my! Probably a little less boldly aromatic than the 1959, and probably a little more phenolic and dry. Wet gravel, tar, soot, mint liqueur and bitter oranges. Superb notes of carnation, butter crème, honeydew, mint-flavoured tea… And big notes of morels. Wow. Espresso. Globally less sherried than the 1959 but maybe even more complex. The palate will determine which is our favourite…
restaurant Palate
extraordinary. It’s got everything. A movie-malt that keeps changing while remaining extremely coherent. Dried fruits, herbs, jams, spices, leather, shoe polish (tarry and phenolic), tobacco… Oh well, please call the anti-maltoporn brigade!

amazingly long, dry, clean… Superb pepper. We’re close to perfection
