잔을 돌려 향을 열면 지나치게 익은 사과와 오래 우린 차 냄새가 먼저 다가온다. 코를 더 가까이 하면 밀랍 먹인 식탁보와 사과주, 허니듀 멜론이 뒤이어 스민다. 한 모금 머금으면 52.4도가 꽉 조인 채로 꿀과 왁스를 밀어 올리고 만사니야 셰리 같은 짭짤한 결이 스친다. 물을 한두 방울 더하면 담뱃잎이 뚜렷해진다. 삼키고 나면 기름진 담배와 진득한 꿀이 길게 이어진다.
