잔을 흔들고 코를 묻으면 뜨거운 초콜릿이 통째로 밀려오고 그 옆에서 사과 주스의 상큼함이 균형을 잡는다. 한 모금 머금으면 40.9도라는 도수가 무색하게 벌꿀주와 건포도, 꽃향 나는 차가 겹겹이 쌓인다. 혀 위에서 굴리면 향신료 넣은 케이크와 모과 젤리의 단맛이 따라 나온다. 삼킨 뒤에는 프랄린과 가나슈 같은 초콜릿 여운이 길게 이어진다. 1969년 증류해 37년을 오크에서 보낸 던컨 테일러 레어 올드다.

all right, this is very good and the lousy low strength doesn't even feel. Typical Macallan 'body'. Mead, raisins, honeys, flowery teas, spicy cake (Stolle), old desert wine, mullein syrup, quince jelly… I really enjoy this and at 40.8%, you can drink a lot of it.
