Tasting Notes
맑은 금빛이 잔 속에서 담담하게 퍼진다. 처음에는 오크가 앞서지만 곧 마멀레이드와 맥아의 향이 밀고 올라오고 자두와 조린 체리가 그 자리를 이어받는다. 옅은 장미 꽃잎의 결이 스치듯 지나는 점이 이 26년의 특징이다. 43.9도의 입안은 꿀과 감귤 제스트, 생강으로 시작해 스페큘로스와 계피로 옮겨 간다. 여운은 제법 길어 비터 오렌지와 절인 체리, 초콜릿의 쌉쌀함이 남는다.

the oak is a little prominent at first, as is often the case with many contemporary official malts, but the marmalade and maltiness quickly come through. Then lots of damsons and stewed cherries. There is indeed also a faint touch of rose petal, which may well be the aforementioned orchid
restaurant Palate
nothing to complain about here, it’s good, initially on honey, citrus zest and ginger, then comes the speculoos and quite simply cinnamon. And I can’t help but detect a little tea, somewhat drying as well, though that’s quite common with malts matured in fairly active casks
timer Finish
fairly long, rather on bitter oranges, candied cherries, chocolate and dried raisins. A hint of coffee at the end, that must be from the casks too
