럼 캐스크 피니시를 거친 1980년 원액으로, 노즈는 예상보다 건조하다. 호두와 마른 건초, 나무껍질과 낙엽이 앞서고 가죽과 쌉쌀한 초콜릿이 뒤를 받치며 피노 셰리에 가까운 결을 보인다. 팰럿은 향보다 과실 쪽으로 열려 오렌지와 자몽이 드러나지만 생강 토닉 같은 특이한 뉘앙스도 섞인다. 피니시는 길고 쌉쌀하며 생강 기운이 끝까지 남는다. 럼 피니시가 셰리 맥캘란의 인상을 크게 바꿔놓은 사례다.

a rather dry version, rather on walnuts and hay so quite fino-ish, with some grass, bark, leaves, leather and bitter chocolate. The exact opposite of the Murray McDavid, in any case a very dry version of ex-sherry Macallan. There’s even a little antiseptic, hospital-style, that’s not immensely ‘Macallan’ in my experience

fruitier but also a little odd, with some cardboard, ginger tonic, walnut wine and wee touches of plastic. Other than that, we have oranges and grapefruits

long but a notch bitter and gingery
