Tasting Notes
노즈에서는 오렌지 꽃과 모과 젤리, 설타나 건포도가 겹겹이 두드러진다. 여기에 훈제 햄과 파이프 담배, 젖은 흙과 오래된 종이의 뉘앙스가 더해져 향의 밀도가 상당하다. 팰럿은 52.6도의 도수를 타고 크리스마스 케이크처럼 열려 말린 과일과 초콜릿, 마지팬이 차례로 드러난다. 피니시는 길고 입안을 감싸며 잼 같은 질감 뒤로 스파이스가 정리한다. 옛 맥캘란 셰리 스타일을 정의하던 구조가 그대로 살아 있다.

oh my! Let’s keep this short. Sumptuous sherry, rich, fragrant… Orange blossom, quince jelly, sultanas, old Sauternes, cured ham, pipe tobacco, wet earth, old books, various herbal teas, toffee and spearmint. Utterly fabulous nose, the style that defined ‘The Macallan’ as it used to be

glorious attack, just like if you bit into a slice of Christmas cake (or Alsatian berawecka). Thousands of dried fruits, chocolate, marzipan, jams, soft spices, old cognac (eh?)… and an avalanche of tinier flavours of the ‘chocolate-coffee’ universe. Brilliant
timer Finish
long, coating, creamy and jammy but not heavy, mainly thanks to the fairly spicy aftertaste
