Tasting Notes
잔을 천천히 돌린 뒤 향을 맡으면 나무가 먼저 말을 걸지만 선을 넘지는 않는다. 계피와 생강, 육두구 같은 베이킹 향신료가 바닐라와 카푸치노를 데리고 나오고 볶은 견과와 브라우니가 뒤를 잇는다. 47.8도를 한 모금 머금으면 정향과 백후추의 매운 기가 앞서고 호두와 구운 오크, 쓴 코코아가 차례로 드러난다. 서른 해라는 시간이 나무 쪽으로 기운 보틀링이다. 목을 넘기고 나면 육두구가 또렷하게 남는다.

it does focus on wood indeed, but I have the feeling that it’s still under control. Pleasant maltiness, complemented with, indeed, cinnamon, ginger, nutmeg, baking spices, vanilla, cappuccino, burnt raisins, toasted oak, and roasted nuts. A little chocolate as well (brownies)
restaurant Palate
it’s decent, but it’s too much on the oaky side for me. And we’re not talking subtle old oak from long ageing here. More cinnamon, nutmeg, cloves, white pepper… This is really spicy! Then walnuts and more toasted oak, as well as bitter cocoa and Jaffa cake
