잔에 따른 뒤 잠시 숨을 돌리게 두면 닫혀 있던 향이 서서히 열린다. 코를 가져가면 고기 육수와 골수 스페인산 하몽이 앞장서고 시가 냄새가 뒤를 덮는다. 53.9도의 한 모금은 육향과 말린 과일을 동시에 그리고 배경의 멘톨이 무게를 덜어 준다. 삼킨 뒤에는 고무와 타르 건포도 마멀레이드 말린 무화과가 길게 이어진다. 셰리 우드에서 20년을 보낸 1974년 원액의 정점이다.
