노즈에서는 1974년 셰리우드가 만든 잘 익은 오렌지와 건포도 향이 가장 먼저 두드러지고, 오래된 가죽과 왁스 뉘앙스가 깊이를 더한다. 팰럿은 21년 숙성다운 진한 몰트 단맛에 정향과 묵은 오크가 겹치며 발전한다. 53.6도의 도수가 무게를 잡아 짜임새가 좋다. 피니시는 쌉쌀한 다크초콜릿과 말린 무화과가 길게 남는다. 올드 스타일 맥캘란 셰리의 전형을 확인할 수 있다.

more mangos than on a mango tree, otherwise tangerines and myriads of tinier aromas. Incredible nose (pipe smoke, oranges, woodruff, maracuja, honeysuckle, fudge, hibiscus, roses, pink grapefruits, old Sauternes, mushrooms, chocolate, coffee, plums, stewed rhubarb, basil, black nougat, peanut butter, peaches, litchis…) Oh boy oh boy…
