잔을 조심스럽게 흔들면 1979년에 담긴 술답게 오래된 금빛이 느리게 움직인다. 코를 대면 밀랍과 마른 꽃 오렌지 껍질이 차례로 열리고 그 아래 오래된 나무 냄새가 깔린다. 45.7도의 한 모금을 머금으면 꿀과 홍차 건포도가 부드럽게 흐르고 옅은 훈연이 스친다. 천천히 삼키면 견과와 캐러멜이 목 뒤에 오래 걸린다. 1960년 원액을 18년 재운 카덴헤드의 덤피 보틀이 시대를 담고 있다.
