Tasting Notes
금빛이 잔 속에서 밝게 번진다. 호그스헤드에서 14년을 보낸 이 1989년 원액은 셰리의 무게 대신 열대 과실의 향으로 문을 연다. 망고와 감귤이 앞장서고 그 뒤로 인동꽃과 퍼지, 복숭아의 달콤함이 겹겹이 따라온다. 57.6도의 높은 도수에도 향의 결은 흐트러지지 않는다. 입안은 과실의 단맛 위로 옅은 비누 같은 기운이 잠시 지나지만 곧 정돈된다. 여운은 길고 건조해지며 홍차의 떫음이 마지막에 남는다.

more mangos than on a mango tree, otherwise tangerines and myriads of tinier aromas. Incredible nose (pipe smoke, oranges, woodruff, maracuja, honeysuckle, fudge, hibiscus, roses, pink grapefruits, old Sauternes, mushrooms, chocolate, coffee, plums, stewed rhubarb, basil, black nougat, peanut butter, peaches, litchis…) Oh boy oh boy…
