Tasting Notes
잔을 밝은 쪽으로 들면 51.9도치고 옅은 금빛이 비쳐 예상과 다른 첫인상을 준다. 코를 가져가면 생호두와 사과 껍질, 아몬드, 마른 풀이 앞서고 해변 모래 같은 옅은 바닷내가 뒤에 깔린다. 한 모금 머금으면 향보다 둥글고 달아 감귤과 생강, 기나피의 알싸함이 함께 퍼진다. 삼키면 생강과 풀 기운이 길게 이어지고 후추와 쓴 오렌지가 끝을 잡아 맥캘란치고 무척 마른 개성을 남긴다.

this baby’s completely different and certainly as dry and leafy as some true fino – or manzanilla for that matter. Bags of fresh walnuts, apple peelings, almonds and plain grass as well as something faintly coastal, maybe beach sand. Goes on with some hay and leaves, leather and just touches of orange squash. Not really lush, to say the least, one of the drier Macallans out there, even if it does get a little fruitier over time
restaurant Palate
rounder and sweeter, and very pleasantly citrusy, with also quite some ginger and cinchona, with something slightly fizzy. Also a little resinous and maybe eau-de-vie-ish (plum spirit) before it starts to gear towards bitter oranges. Walnuts
timer Finish
long, gingery and grassy. Pepper and bitter oranges in the aftertaste
