Tasting Notes
잔을 천천히 돌리면 짙은 적갈색이 잔벽을 따라 묵직하게 흐른다. 코끝으로 끌어당기면 1968년 매캘런다운 졸인 건포도와 오렌지, 그 위로 오래된 셰리 우드가 남긴 가죽과 진한 초콜릿의 향이 겹겹이 떠오른다. 한 모금을 머금으면 43도가 매끄럽게 퍼지며 무화과와 호두, 다크 캐러멜의 단맛이 혀를 감싼다. 천천히 삼키면 묵은 셰리 우드의 스파이스가 입안에 깊게 머문다.

ah yes, this one is typical of many old Macallans by G&M – proof that warehouses and locations have an influence, don’t you think? Many fruits such as oranges and tangerines, fruity apples (large red ones, for example), various honeys, flowers from the fields, syrups and liqueurs, bananas… It’s fresh and mucho lively! Let’s hope the palate won’t be too dry and oaky…

great news, there’s some oak of course but it isn’t drying or cardboardy, not at all. Many fruits, strawberries, ripe apples, gooseberries, apricots, peaches… It’s all extremely drinkable!
