Tasting Notes
노즈에서는 1940년 증류해 84년을 보낸 경이로운 세월답게 은은한 훈연과 아카시아 꿀, 밀랍과 가죽의 깊은 향이 먼저 두드러진다. 스페이사이드 맥캘란 특유의 잘 익은 살구와 세비야 오렌지, 옅은 바닷내음이 팰럿에서 활기차게 나타나며, 43.4도의 도수가 살구잼과 자두, 밤꿀과 구운 브리오슈를 얹는다. 인간이 다루기 힘든 극장기 숙성이 놀라운 구조감으로 발전한다. 중반부에는 잘 익은 살구와 꿀의 단맛이 스민다. 피니시는 향신료와 꿀의 여운이 길고 깊게 이어지며 유례없는 세월의 품격이 압도적이다.

oh well... this is, I mean, just amazing. Incredible smokiness and a full tanker of acacia honey as well as lilac, beeswax and leather polish. Goes on and on... ripe apricots, flower nectar, Seville oranges, orange syrup, whiffs of seawater... Absolutely exceptional. Gets smokier with time (Havana smoke). Hints of apple peelings. This nose just leaves me speechless (who said good news?)

amazingly lively, nervous, fruity... Apricot jam, ripe plums, chestnut honey, toasted brioche, high-grade pepper... Totally fantabulous. I’m afraid the rest will be censored by our anti-maltoporn police department
