스페이사이드 크레이젤라키 부근, 매캘란 증류소가 자리한 부드러운 골짜기가 1926년의 풍토를 통째로 가둔 전설적 보틀링이다. 60년 숙성 잔에는 진한 마호가니빛이 깊게 머문다. 향에는 잘 익은 자두, 마른 무화과, 오래된 가죽 책이 또렷이 깃들어 있다. 입에서는 흑설탕과 정향, 다크 초콜릿이 묵직하게 입을 채우고 42.6도의 낮은 도수가 부드럽게 비친다. 시간이 빚어낸 우아한 셰리 여운이 마지막까지 길다.

air Nose
oh well... this is, I mean, just amazing. Incredible smokiness and a full tanker of acacia honey as well as lilac, beeswax and leather polish. Goes on and on... ripe apricots, flower nectar, Seville oranges, orange syrup, whiffs of seawater... Absolutely exceptional. Gets smokier with time (Havana smoke). Hints of apple peelings. This nose just leaves me speechless (who said good news?)

amazingly lively, nervous, fruity... Apricot jam, ripe plums, chestnut honey, toasted brioche, high-grade pepper... Totally fantabulous. I’m afraid the rest will be censored by our anti-maltoporn police department
