잔을 몇 번 흔들고 코를 가져가면 말린 허브와 캐모마일, 살짝 쓴 캐러멜과 풀 그을음 같은 다소 마르고 절제된 향이 열린다. 세 종류의 통에서 익은 매캘란답게 초원 꽃의 은은한 꿀 내음도 함께 감돈다. 한 모금 머금으면 43도의 크리미한 질감 위로 가벼운 캐러멜과 아침 꿀 같은 단맛이 예상보다 달게 번진다. 파인 오크 트리플 캐스크의 이 위스키를 삼키면 살짝 짭짤한 끝맛과 옅은 오크의 온기가 깔끔하게 남는다.

lots of dried herbs, camomile, bitter caramel and grass smoke. Quite dry and perhaps too austere. Hints of soft water and even a bit of peat. Some flower nectar (meadow flowers)
restaurant Palate
creamy and quite sugary, on some light caramel and breakfast honey. Much sweeter than on the nose, but with a rather salty finish. An average old Macallan, less creamy than usually but still much drinkable. 82 points . Macallan-Glenlivet 15 yo (43%, G&M licensed bottling, Italy, 60’s)
