노즈는 사과주스와 배즙 같은 산뜻한 과일 향으로 열리며 어린 스페이사이드의 풋풋함이 명확하게 드러난다. 뒤로 옅은 나무 연기와 생강 토닉의 향신료가 살짝 곁들여진다. 팰럿은 43도답게 가볍고 깨끗하며 과일감이 중심을 잡아 균형이 단단하다. 아메리칸과 유러피언 오크 셰리 시즈닝 캐스크의 영향은 과하지 않고 자연스러운 단맛과 옅은 풍선껌 뉘앙스를 남긴다. 피니시는 중간 길이로 오렌지 껍질과 생강이 은은하게 이어지며 깔끔하게 닫히는 매캘란 12년 더블 캐스크다.
