유러피언과 아메리칸 셰리, 버번 오크를 함께 쓴 트리플 캐스크 숙성이 열두 해 동안 맥캘란의 균형 잡힌 결을 빚어낸다. 향에서는 버터스카치와 쇼트브레드, 구운 사과가 부드럽게 올라오고 옅은 멘톨이 스친다. 40도의 가벼운 질감 위로 사과주스와 몰트, 옅은 초콜릿과 꿀이 흐른다. 세 캐스크가 남긴 옅은 밀짚빛과 함께 구운 견과의 짧은 여운이 남는다.

have you also found quite some menthol in recent batches? And then rather butterscotch and shortbread, with a layer of caramelised apples and hazelnut butter? And then more beer and porridge, with a spirity side?

tastes young and a little spirity, with a slightly thin body. More apple juice, malt, a touch of chocolate and a touch of honey. Sour fruits in the background (that’s not too far away)

short and rather thin. Roasted nuts and a little maple syrup, plus ‘ideas’ of marmalade
