잔을 가볍게 흔들면 맥켈란 12년 더블 캐스크가 밝은 금빛으로 잔 안에서 흔들린다. 코를 가져가면 유러피언과 아메리칸 오크가 함께 빚은 버터스카치와 쇼트브레드, 구운 사과 향이 부드럽게 올라온다. 한 모금 머금으면 40도가 사과 주스와 몰트, 은은한 꿀과 초콜릿을 가벼운 질감으로 혀에 얹는다. 두 오크의 조합이 만든 산뜻한 단맛이 마시기 편안하게 드러난다. 삼킨 뒤에는 볶은 견과와 마멀레이드의 여운이 짧고 깔끔하게 남는다.

tastes young and a little spirity, with a slightly thin body. More apple juice, malt, a touch of chocolate and a touch of honey. Sour fruits in the background (that’s not too far away)

short and rather thin. Roasted nuts and a little maple syrup, plus ‘ideas’ of marmalade
